Tyre Centre

The tyres on your vehicle are the only part of your vehicle in contact with the road.

No matter what car you drive it is important to ensure that your tyres are fit for the job. We stock a wide range of tyres for cars, jeeps and vans including leading brands such as Bridgestone, Dunlop, Hankook, Pirelli. Our tyres are all competitively priced and we have a range of tyres to suit all budgets and requirements. As you know it’s impossible to stock every tyre therefore most sizes that are not already in stock can be supplied and fitted same day if ordered by 10am, or next day if ordered by 2pm.

Our tyre service and price includes fitting, balancing and the disposal of your old tyres. In addition to car tyres we also supply van tyres, trailer tyres and tyres for various agricultural tractors and machinery.

Why is air pressure in your tyres so important?

Having the correct air pressure reduces the potential for a puncture and keeps you safe on the road. You will also have the advantage of better fuel efficiency and better handling. Reduced tyre pressure can cause tyres to wear 25% quicker and more unevenly. We advise that you check your tyre pressure once a month to prevent tyre damage.

When should you change your tyres?

By law your tyres must be the right load rate and size for your vehicle. They should be properly inflated, free from defects and have a thread depth of at least 1.6mm. The easiest way to see if you need new tyres is to call in for a FREE tyre check. We will take a look, a measurement of thread depth and advise you if and when you need to replace your tyres.

What about rotating tyres?

Depending on what car you drive you may have uneven front to rear thread wear. Rotating them allows the tyres to serve in both front and rear positions which help to even out the wear. McNally’s Garage rotates your tyres if necessary, as part of your service.
